Why did you start "Dear Exchange Year" ?

I was always interested in going and studying abroad. During my exchange year I realiced how great the U.S. and its diversity is. Everything was going so well, but the days I needed somone to talk t who understands my journey and its struggles, no one was there. I felt like there is a lot of exchange students who feel the same and I would love to provide that help through building a community.

Who can join?

Whoever is doing an Exchange Year is welcome to join, as well as former exchange students. If you are interested in going abroad, you are more than welcome too. Host families and families who consider hosting an exchange student are welcomed as well.
